One Teenager's Genius Idea for Dealing with Alzheimers

A Teenager Comes Up With A Wildly Smart Invention To Help His Grandfather Deal With Alzheimer’s.

Meet Kenneth.

Kenneth is a brilliant kid who loves his grandfather.

Unfortunately, this man who Kenneth loves so dearly also suffers from Alzheimer's disease. And due to this condition, Kenneth's grandfather gets up in the middle of the night and wanders around, creating completely unsafe situations.

But being the industrious young fellow that he is, Kenneth decided to fix this problem.

He invented a sensor that goes on a sock and alerts his phone if his grandfather gets out of bed.

Kenneth's invention is so good, it won him a Science in Action award. It's currently being tested by patients in a nursing home, with some impressive results.

Not bad for a 15-year-old.
